I play bass in a band called After Mine. A few years ago my girlfriend, The Jennie, was out of town visiting her parents for the weekend. I decided to spend a quiet weekend at home watching movies. Little did I know that I would see a movie that weekend that would change my life. That movie was Josie and the Pussycats. This band really knew how to rock. Watching Rachel, Rosario, and Tara play really made me think "Hey, I can do this!". These three hot young acresses doing their thing on stage was the start of what soon became my life's passion....to master bass. I started to master bass that very night and I have to admit, initially I wasn't very good at it. It was really just a hobby for a few weeks, but then realized that I got a great deal of pleasure from it. After about a year I started to get really good at it and I eventually joined the Madison based band Tabloid Rosa with my friend Shookzilla (who according to Matthew Caws of Nada Surf, has the legs of a dinosaur).After the breakup of Tabloid I connected up with my buddy Karl and started After Mine. We've been rocking ever since and we're currently finishing up the recording of our first album.
