About Me

4/29/08
Hello, Dave here. My family and I are morning the passing of our loving mother, Mary Ellen Abbott. She passed on Sunday April 27th at 2:25 pm. She was 73, and the greatest Mom in the world! She was transported from her home in Mtn. View CA to El Camino Hospital last Wed evening for symptoms relating to a heart attack, during which time she was awake, chit-chatting and in great spirits as usual. Couple days later, she suffered a severe stroke during an Angioplasty procedure leaving Mom in a coma. She passed away Sunday afternoon, painlessly and peacefully with her family at her side.
Memorial Service and Celebration of my Mom's life will be begin Monday, May 5th at 11am, at Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, 96 W El Camino Real. Mountain View, CA 94040, with procession following to Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno CA arriving near 1pm, where we will meet at the Chapel for graveside service. Then, off to Mom's house at 1360 Lloyd Way, Mountain View, CA to continue remembering and celebrating her life with a party, just as she wanted. Mom had always left her door open, so everyone is invited to come celebrate with us.

Here's a little bit about me and and the band;
I was born Feb 4th, 1963. currently reside in Mtn. View, CA.
I've been fascinated with Rock & Roll music and the electric guitar ever since I was a little kid. My neighbor up the street from me had a Les Paul, it seemed I was there playing it more than him. In 1981, I decided to make my own custom electric guitar in high school woodshop, started 'real' guitar lessons and within a couple months I joined a band.
I love all kinds of music, though my main influences include the likes of Eric Clapton, Michael Schenker, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi......you get the idea.
In the mid to late 80's, I was part of an all original band lasting 3 years and never got that big record deal. Shortly after, I played in different cover bands around the Bay Area. I've covered a fair amount of ground in the music biz, including solo and ensemble performances, session recording, promotions & management, stage & sound tech services, ect.
I left the music scene in 92' to be a full time dad. I got hungry to play music again, so I came back in early 04' with a little 'classic rock' & 'power blues' trio.
Cindy and I recently welcomed all-pro drummer Jackie Enx to our little power trio...she is a true professional who brings 'musical magic' to our little band. You really must come listen for yourself!
All of us here at the Abbott camp appreciate your past, present, and future support!
See you soon!
