Sometimes,... I just throw things OUT to see if anyone catches them.
Life is like a Friday on a soap opera. It gives you the illusion that everything is going to wrap up, and then, the same old shit starts up on Monday. Sounds good, rings false. I came in late for this movie show.I've been a Nurses Assistant, Heart Monitor Telemetry Tech, Ward Clerk, Surgical Unit Coordinator, at various nursing homes, hospitals, VA hospitals, children's hospitals. Art definatley runs in my family. My great grandmother a painter and crafter, my grandmother, another painter and crafter, my mother draws, and paints, and beads, and has some amazing crafting. Me, I've been drawing since grade one. My very first try at stage design was puppet shows my sister and I used to perform for neiborhood kids at the price of a penny and our sound was recorded on my fathers HiFi system 1979. I use to have alot of art work in a portfolio, from age 12 to 28. Unfortunatly, it was destroyed. So I stopped drawing for awhile. (quite awhile). I have since picked it up again. I have new peices now, and with enthusiasm and happiness in my life, I will create more. Soon to be posted in my Albums. I encourage my honey to keep playing shows because I know it makes him happy and I think he's hot on stage. He is also an amazing bass player. I also enjoy reading, playing guitar, singing, seeing what kind of crap I can find on the beach. The ocean is my favorite place to be. Fishing, clamming, certified in scuba diving, snorkel, bowling( got my 160 patch), pool. Eric and I went to some concerts last summer and saw Ozzy, Alice Cooper, and Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell/Dio years, really great shows. My Honey and I just recently explored Pikes Market in Seattle and the great "Experience Music Project" next to the Space Needle. It was included with the all time "Sci-Fi" Museum. Lots of fun there, check out my pics. My only regret is not being able to get a shot of Jimi Hendrix stratocaster that he was playing "The Star Spangled Banner" at Woodstock.
Eric and I are curently working on a tribute project for The Pretenders. I have not a clue on what I'm doing. I can sing the lead. I know some guitar and I'm learning Chrissy Hindes rhythm part. Eric can definatley pick up the bass part. I think I've found a drummer at work. She even looks kinda like Martin Chambers. I know we can pull this off. I don't think there are many tribute bands in this area of Washington. We may very well be the first for Bellingham. I would like to see more tribute projects in the future and some original in the makings too. Eric is promoting Kahler Tremolos for bass players. If you are interested in seeing what kind of distortions you can create from playing bass, I highly recommend on checking out what he has to offer.
