Music:

In the very early 80's my brother would take me to see Battle of the Bands at the Lynnwood Rollaway and thats where the local rock and roll scene began for me. In the 80's I went to lots of Concerts and lots of local shows like TKO, Culprit, Wild Dogs, Metal Church, Lipstick, Slaughter Hauz 5, MISTRUST, Alice in Chains, Black is Black, M.S.M., Tad, War Babies, Tramp Alley, The Bang Gang, M.L.B., Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. My friend "J" and I would go down to the Music Bank(wherehouse) and spend many school nights listening to many local bands...I'll never forget those days, what a party! It was cool to see...Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, Temple of the Dog, Nirvana, Pearl Jam make it. What an EXPLOSION it was on this town. But then the excitment started to turn really dark. I think we all feel a bit wounded from the loss of these amazing souls. Layne, Andrew, Kurt....Nowadays I listen to EVERYTHING my mind is open to more than just one genre and I still go to local shows and concerts whenever possible. But besides ROCK and Alternative I also listen to Trance, Indie, R@B/HipHop, some Country(I know..), and anything from the 70's till now, if it has a beat I'm there!
