Ashley was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was born in Brookdale Hospital. He use to be embraced that he can sing because of the perception that people had of him already as being an athlete. Althrough junior high school Ashley would come home right after school to sing before his mother would come home from work so that his mom would not hear him. Even in high school Ashley would get home extremely late from school from football or basketball practice every night around 11:30pm he would quietly sing so his mom wouldn’t hear him. Throughout his whole life people knew of him as a local athletic talent that excelled in football and basketball which he has won countless of MVPs and other league awards. Playing football all the way to college; after a series of injuries gave Ashley an excuse to put sports to the back and follow his heart and instincts into singing, songwriter, and dancing. Until one day he was closing up his office for a promotion company he’d work for two years right after high school. As he is cleaning up his office he thought all his co-workers had left and went home but after singing Heatwave’s “Always and Forever” he had realized that entire time people were right behind him watching and listening and people were amaze and shock that he sing so well. After Ashley received his Associate in Humanities, he began to take music very serious. After one day singing in the house, his father over heard him through the front door singing and was very excited that the sound was coming out of his son. Right after his father would take him to the studio to really test Ashley to see what he is fully working with again blew away by his son riffing high notes and the control of every note coming out his mouth. Ashley was planning to set appointments with Bad Boys, Rocafella, J, and def jam records but Roland Johnson the owner of Rolistic Records reached out to him and signed Ashley to an amazing deal and labeling Ashley the future of R&B. Weeks later he started recording for his debut album THE OTHER SIDE. He wrote his whole album making each song very relatable about everyday life. Most of the songs come from true life experiences that he went through in his life. Ashley also wrote over 30 songs back and forth from school commuting three hours coming and going in his late year of college. Before Ashley got his start in music he was acting. He manage to only receive background roles in the movie starring with Jennifer Lopez “ A Maid in Manhattan”, Also background in shows “Ed T.V.” and “Law and Order”. Ashley also went to acting school as well to give him more insight and skill in the craft. Artists that aspired Ashley is endless like Luther Vangross, R. Kelly, Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Prince, Marvin Gaye, David Ruffin, Jeff Redd, D’ Angelo, Morris Day, Smokey Robinson, The Nicholas Brothers, 112, Carl Thomas, Joe, James Brown, Otis Redding, Usher, Earth Wind and Fire, Cameo, The Brothers Johnson, Atlantic Star, and Heat Wave. All of these artists have been influential to Ashley one way or another in his music. But, make know mistakes about it that he have his own sound. People often referred to Ashley as the Love Child of R&B because of the sounds he mixes vocally and all genres of music to define his own style. Ashley’s favorite food is Macaroni cheese, candy yams, fried chicken wings, and rice peas. His favorite television show is “Martin” with one of the best ever staring Martin Lawrence and his favorite movie is “300”. Ashley is a huge fan of the New York Giants 2007 NFL Champs and the Chicago Bulls.
