Here's my old acoustic folk duo/trio, The Trudgers, with Jeff Wittig and James Boyce. Jeff and I are still together as a duo. James went off to perform poetry with Hillary and Lousiana Pearl. We both sing lead and harmony, and I play guitar, flute, and keyboards. Jeff plays harmonica and guitar.
Our third member, James, is a superb guitarist, very tasteful. He's also a great, bluesy singer.
I'm also "sitting in" with a couple of folks and bands around town. Thanks for your support! See you out there!
Like it suggests in the Matrix, I'll take the red pill. And like it says in the Terminator, there's a storm coming in...
Armageddon aside, I'm interested in meeting musicians, especially in the Denver area, and especially musicians in recovery. Join my group, "Musicians in Recovery!"
I'm also interested in meeting folks, in general, from around Denver, Buena Vista, and Salida. I have some ties to San Diego and southern Cali, and I love hearing from those folks, too. If you are interested in esoterica, ancient knowledge, new world order, illuminati, philosophy, metaphysics, natural food, healing, and comparative religion, etc., I'd love to hear from you, too!
I had a great time playing this past year in a trio with Chelsea and the Dreamstalkers in San Diego. Chelsea writes and sings beautiful songs; I sang harmony and played flute with her at Milano's and at the Farmer's Market in Ocean Beach just about every week. Bill plays bass and sings harmony. They are both exceptional musicians and wonderful friends.
I played a few sets with the Keith Kifer Band in San Diego back in March. That was a great time! We did Red House, Summertime, that kind of classic jazz/blues. We were at Blind Melons and at Winstons in OB frequently. Here's Keith showing off his cool jacket and Jimi-style...
Yours truly, onstage at Winstons with the Korg and playing the flute.
Bonnie Raitt, from the song, "Too Long at the Fair"
Cat Stevens from the soundtrack to "Harold and Maude"
Jethro Tull from the album, "Thick as a Brick"
I've always been inspired by Ian Anderson, both his music and his musicianship. I started playing the flute when I first heard Aqualung and Thick as A Brick. I'm especially fond of his sardonicism!!!
Jethro Tull, from "Skating Away" on the album, Warchild
Peter Gabriel, talking about "The Last Temptation of Christ"
Jethro Tull from "My God"
Pink Floyd from "Comfortably Numb"
Genesis from "Land of Confusion"
Opeth, from "The Night and the Silent Water"
Steely Dan (god with a small "g")
Edward Norton from the movie, "Fight Club"
How Tyler saw it was that getting Gods attention for being bad was better than getting no attention at all. Maybe because God's hate is better than His indifference.
If you could be either God's worst enemy or nothing, which would you choose?
We are Gods middle children, according to Tyler Durden, with no special place in history and no special attention.
Unless we get Gods attention, we have no hope of damnation or redemption.
Which is worse, hell or nothing?
Only if were caught and punished can we be saved.
Burn the Louvre...and wipe your ass with the Mona Lisa. This way at least, God would know our names.
Marlon Brando and Martin Sheen in Francis Ford Coppola's film, "Apocalypse Now."
"You talkin' to me?" Robert De Niro from the film, "Taxi Driver"
Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman in "Midnight Cowboy"
Tad, Vonn, and Greg have completed "Last of the Romantics," and it should be playing in theatres and/or on cable, hopefully, within the next few months...Chris Bruno from "The Dead Zone" stars; Dylan Bruno from "Numbers" plays a supporting role in the film.
I'm not a real connoisseur of independent films, although I would love to see more of them. Some of my favorites from the mainstream include Terminator, Final Destination, Matrix; mostly, I like sci fi, twisted plots, special effects, and horror. I liked Minority Report - anything based on stories of Phillip K. Dick. I loved Hostel, House of 10,000 Corpses, the Devil's Rejects and the latest the Hills Have Eyes. I've been checking out the Masters of Horror series. I loved Uma Thurman in Kill Bill and all of Quentin Tarantino's movies. I liked Pulp Fiction and John Travolta. I like Harvey Keitel, John Turturo, and all those guys. I like Michael Douglas in the Game and Fatal Atttraction and that type of movie. I like Harrison Ford and all the Indiana Jones movies. I love Nicholas Cage- he reminds me of my dad. I like Fight Club, Edward Norton and those guys. I liked "Identity." One of my favorite movies is J. Lo in "The Cell."
I don't watch television if I can help it!!! It's too depressing.

Here's a book I'd like to pick up sometime. The best battle is won without being fought....."Ye shall not surely die...."
You know, I think Digital Angel's got the right idea! Maybe I do need a chip in my brain so I can communicate with my laptop, buy groceries, catch a bus...and I won't have to worry that I forgot my wallet! What a convenience! Just think of it!
This is my daughter, Elizabeth. She is quite the hero and a very, very talented and beautiful young woman.
Here's Sarah and Liz a few years earlier hanging around in the mountains around Salida. I love my daughters. I wish I could have a copy of each of them at every age so that I could talk to them at the different ages at the same time. Why do children have to grow up?
Me and my daughters did a lot of "duckying" the Arkansas River a few summers ago. They have grown up a lot since then. Now, they are serious hotties! I love them both, and we are looking forward to having a lot of fun in the coming years.
This is a picture I took of Sarah & Liz about six years ago at the Renaissance Fair in Texas. They were so cute!! We had such a fun time there.
