The laid-back, politically-toned, love-sick, addiction-obsessed, Acousti-kids from HypeCriticle Bliss return after a long hiatus from Clover, South Carolina's local music-scene. Once again, just like every hiatus the band had before, they return with some old/familiar faces. D.J. Thirteen, who has been in the band since the beginning, returns as the bands main-lyricist and lead vocalist. Pablo 66 returns, after a little misunderstanding, to the guitarist position with his blues and classic rock inspired rifts. Kelsey Bradford is hitting up the six-string once again for HBliss. Justin Watkins, the band's first percussionist to use a drum set, is back in the band banging on the skins. Fetus, the original conga/bongo man, is also back with the congas and bongos. The band promises that this "ride" will be Hbliss' longest, and they aren't expecting anymore stops on the "ride" even after Pablo exits the band for college. They are, however, preparing for any unexpected "bumps" along the way. Just as the many before it, the last hiatus of Hbliss was due to line-up problems. If anyone has followed the history of Hbliss, then they should know that there have been many members involved in Hbliss since the band started in early 2006. The original line-up consisted of only 3 people (D.J. on bass, Eric Patti on guitar/vocals, and Jeff Yewcic on synth). The first hiatus soon happened. This line-up, later, changed when Jeff's brother, Chris, stepped in on guitar, Eric stepped out, and D.J. dropped the bass and picked-up the microphone. After Chris moved away for College, Jeff soon stepped out of the band due to outside commitments. And another hiatus ensued. D.J. then asked Pablo, a friend from an older (& defunct) band, & Kelsey Bradford, Pablo's girlfriend at the time, to fill the void of guitarist(s). They then obtained Fetus to play the bongos and congas, adding a more unique style to their Acoustic sound. Once again, the band was changed when Pablo agreed to leave the band after a disagreement with other members (a break-up perhaps?), and shortly after that, Fetus did the same (for different reasons) and a hiatus, once again, happened. D.J. scurried around to find another Guitarist and luckily he did. Justin Runyon shortly stepped-up and then Matt Millen later replaced Justin Runyon. Justin Watkins later was added to play drums (to fill the Percussion spot) and Kelsey left do to other commitments (school). Mitch Marrow replaced her on Guitar, but this time no hiatus happened! Finally, Hbliss had a solid line-up..yeah, not really. D.J. and Justin Watkins got into a disagreement, as did Mitch and Matt, and when it was all "said-and-done-and-over-with," only D.J. and Matt remained. It was then that D.J. decided to put the band back on hiatus for some reason. Big surprise right? During this hiatus, Matt joined another band and left Hbliss. In attempts to start another band, Hbliss was put back together, in a way... D.J. was working on Hbliss' "final" c.d. and trying to start a new band when he started talking to certain, former members about songs he had written for the last c.d. & then D.J. recorded the "last" Hbliss c.d. by himself, and shortly after, announced the break-up of the band. Then like a fire-cracker (that was thought to be a dud) exploding, Hbliss surprised a lot of people. D.J. realized his childishness with some of the past members and after a few long-awaited apologies, which many believe could've and should've happen a little sooner, a semi-original line-up resurfaced. D.J. took the "best of the best" of Hbliss' past members and glued the messed up puzzle known as HypeCriticle Bliss back together. He got Pablo 66 (guitar), Kelsey Bradford (guitar), Justin "G-Money" Watkins (drums), & Fetus (percussion) all back! Mitch Marrow couldn't join the new line-up because he had recently enlisted in the U.S. Army, Matt Millen was committed to another band, Chris Yewcic was still attending college, Justin Runyon was consumed with work, Eric Patti was too involved with organizations with-in his high school, & Jeff Yewcic had thrown away any shred of contact with D.J. Thirteen (for different reasons, not relevant to the band..turns out there is someone that acts like a bigger douche the D.J., Wow!). So, D.J. soon asked Kelsey to be the band's second guitarist. The return of Hbliss is anticipated by their fans local to Clover, SC. Many are anxious to hear newly written songs, their covers of new and old classics, the well-known (locally) songs they've written, and newly discovered covers to be revealed by the "new" line-up of HypeCriticle Bliss. D.J. seems to be thankful, as he should, for the return of these past members, and thankful for the addition of the new member. This "new" band line-up has a lot to prove to it's long-time & patient local fans/friends/family, and it has also got a lot of work ahead to repair the burned bridges it has created do to childishness, cockiness, and drug abuse (D.J. wasn't the only douche involved in Hbliss).
