Posers and fakes step aside and make way for true metal. Make way for MALAKAI. Formed in the Summer of 2004, MALAKAI is comprised of Chris Forsythe(Vocals), Jameson Becker (Drums), Jon Saultz (Guitar) and bassist Joe Gaydos. All long time veterans of the Colorado music scene, the four members of MALAKAI have quickly established themselves as serious contenders for the heavy music crown. The independently released debut ep "Chasing Demons" garnered praise from around the globe, with the title track being chosen as garageband.com "Track of the day" for January 21, 2005. Critical acclaim followed as MALAKAI was voted "2005 Best Popular Music Group" by the Pikes Peak Area Arts Council. Promoters and club owners have taken notice, as the band has been asked to share the stage with such underground heavyweights as Machine Head, Chimaira, Vader, Soilent Green, Zao, Cattle Decapitation, The Acacia Strain, Bury Your Dead, 3 Inches of Blood, Into Eternity, Walls of Jerico, Silent Civilian, Bleed The Sky, and It Dies Today, among others. November 24, 2006 will bring the release of "Funerals," the crushing next chapter in the MALAKAI legacy. Prepare to be buried.
