I am a writer of poetry and fantasy-fiction, living in Devon, England (UK). I dwell in the city, but am fortunate to be within close proximity to nature no less, which can inspire some of my work. My view of life is somewhat "pilgrimatic"; I see life as a journey, an adventure with riddles and mysteries to unravel, questions to answer, and stories to be told :) I like chatting to -and meeting with- new people, while at times also sharing samples of my work online for those who like to read. My Interests

Reading, reminiscing or contemplating, writing, cinema and theatre, occasionally pubs/clubs, nature and walking/being amid nature, learning through life and experiences. Also computer gaming (Guild Wars, Final Fantasy etc etc), going to poetry open-mic evenings and events, eating in/out, spending time with friends, conversing, watching dvds; the usual and the unusual! I like to keep myself open to all things in life, so it's hard to define answers to this category!!!

I'd like to meet:

People from all walks of life, though to give an idea: qualities I admire are honesty, integrity, passion, diversity, creativity, at least some sense of individuality and identity. People who are true to themselves, and who like to have a good time, but also who have an appreciation of depth. Readers and writers; just other humans at the day's end!!!

Movies:

The Lord Of The Rings, Final Fantasy Advent Children, Shrek 1&2, Blade 2. The only time I ever walked out of a cinema was part way through Open Water! The title had more plot than the film!!!!

I do not watch tv these days

Books:

The Dreamt Sea (edited by my former English tutor, Alan M Kent); The Hobbit (and The Lord Of The Rings) by Tolkien, 84 Charing Cross Road and The Duchess of Bloomsbury Street by Helene Hanff. Currently reading Arthur King Of The Britons by Daniel Mersey.

Heroes:

I admire and respect Enya (including Roma and Nicky Ryan who are part of the Enya phenomenon) for staying true to herself and her goals, pursuing her dream, career and life's wishes, staying true to herself rather than surrendering to the pressures of the media, music industry and all such.
