Jaynae: pronounced "Jah-nay" The name I was given about a week after I was born.I was born 4 September 1972 in Columbia, Missouri. I was adopted in February of 1980. I don't know much about my biological parents other than the "man" who is supposed to be my father, his mother was either "light" or "white"--which would explain my hair turning "blonde" in the summer!FAMILY IS IMPORTANT TO ME: Even though I am estranged from the "biological" part, I do know that I have two sisters and a brother (biologically) that I know, and in my adopted family, I have a sister and a brother. Either way, I AM THE YOUNGEST! When I do get married, it will be to someone who is in love with me and I am in love with. I want to have children because I love them! They are the world's greatest gifts!MY FAMILY: I HAVE 3 SISTERS (1 STEPSISTER), 2 BROTHERS (2 STEPBROTHERS), 14 NIECES AND NEPHEWS, AND 2 GREAT-NEPHEWS.I have four cats (and NO, I don't plan on getting anymore--I am not a spinster with cats). I just love animals!I am extremely intelligent: a trait I treasure more than anything because I love to learn about everything! I LOVE TO WRITE, READ, and talk (hee hee) and I have always LOVED music. I also paint--on anything (though DENIM is my favorite) and "design" stuff..as you can tell! I LOVE IT A LOT. It lets me EXPRESS myself visually--since a lot of people HATE to READ...sometimes I do, too! LIGHTSCRIBE DISK DESIGN BY ME! (c)2007.YES, I do have an advanced degree: MASTERS! I hope to get my PhD and become the FIRST woman in my immediate family (biological and otherwise) to have one. Currently, I am also the ONLY woman in my family to have a Master's Degree (outside of my stepmother who has a PhD).My father is a renowned chemist with a mountain named after him in Antartica, and my mother (RIP) was a social worker who taught me the value of helping people and having respect for all people regardless of differences. She had many, many friends--including HRM/HIM King Abdullah Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia.I only aspire to be the best I can be and to prove nothing to anyone but myself. I may have celebrity friends, but all my friends are the same in my eyes--no better or worse than the next. I would bend over backwards for any of my friends and all I want in return is a little respect--as I try to do the same for others.We live on ONE planet and to spend time destroying it, hating people, and generally wasting time better spent making our world better is a sign that we have entirely too much time and money to waste doing dumb stuff.I honor those who even slightly attempt to make the world a better place without wanting the novelty of fame. What is fame but just a space in time when you are popular until the next person comes along. A truly immortal spirit is found only in those persons who do unto others without asking for anything that cannot be given physically but only through personal satisfaction and spiritual peace.I am a very Happy Person! It doesn't take much to make me smile: I love just living. I am a VERY CREATIVE PERSON and I am extremely easy to get along with. Forgive my obsession with Spongebob Squarepants, Egypt, the Caribbean, Mountain Dew, Skittles, and Peanut M&Ms (which is odd because I HATE CHOCOLATE)! Though I don't think I am "all that", I personally don't want to look like anyone else but me. Call it secure in myself, call it acceptance, I don't know. I just don't have any desire to be anything other than what God made me!WHY DO I LOVE THE MARLEYS: This question has been posed to me A LOT recently, so I will answer it: Simply, they are awesome! I like their strength, their familial unity and the very fact that they give! They are the epitome of what humans should be doing for our family and for our people.
