"Hip hop rock with a pinch of dub"

About Me

REVIEW BY MU-ON
BigTroubleFun is a project by Colin Charlesworth, based in Leeds. With a whole host of collaborations under his belt, his talent is thankfully being utilised. Besides his work with BigTroubleFun, Charlesworth also produces bands and solo artists.
Our track for your listening pleasure is entitled, “You Simply Are”, and is a hauntingly beautiful piece of work. Other tracks can be found at his myspace page by clicking on the ‘hear more’ link below.
Enjoy!
Bigtroublefun is currently working with an outerspace/rock/dance/ambient group called LUNAR PHASE. This work can be seen at www.myspace.com/lunarphaseband - Currently playing "The Life" Live.Bigtroublefun (Colin Charlesworth) is mainly a percussionist and drummer. However he also produces bands and solo artists (Infinitum, 7 Year Scrap Book, his own work and many others) and he has taken his hand over the past 5 years to other instruments such as:- Piano, guitar, bass and various other hard to spell instruments.
His latest works include colaborations with Al-Catraz (vocals on The Life) and 7 Year Scrap Book. He has worked with Pav (Percussionist) Inda G (Ian Browns Percussionist) and has worked with Sarah Winton who has colaborated with and written for many different artists including, Nightmares On Wax as lead singer for the "Carboot Soul" album, Coldcut as pianist, Outcast as lead singer, with Richard Brown and B. Hannant. Raw Deal singer/writer. Lead singer, backing singer and pianist for Sound Of Money Rec label.
His drumming influences come from the likes of Jo Jo Mayer (Nerve) Jo Love (the Gobi Wolves, a friend and work colleague) His workplace (John Scheerers Drums) Mike and Steve Rycroft, for giving him the oportunity back in 1996 to form a band.
He is always looking for work with other musicians, whether its a colaboration, producing work, percussion/drumming or straight forward song writing. He is also on the hunt for a female vocalist, send a message and somebody will contact you.
Bigtroubelfun Says:-
" have struggled so long to write the "perfect song" only to figure out that what I think is the perfect song will definately not be another persons and that my perfect song is always the one I have just written.
