Archaicus was formed in 2001/2002. Recordings from these years never saw the light of day and the other members disappeared for various reasons. In latter 2002, Herodian offered his craft of drums. This lead to the recording of the aclaimed "Beneath The Horizon" demo in early January 2003. This demo has been seen throughout the years as an underrated cult release. In January 2004, the 2nd offering "The Elder Scape" was recorded. In months to follow an unreleased demo was also recorded and it is likely these unheard tracks will be honoured in a compilation of Archaicus material from the years 2002-2004.
In August 2006 a pre-production of the entire debut album was recorded. The recording procedure saw it through to completion one year later. Having the chance to record the songs in their entirety meant they have been tried and tested. These songs are the ones in the myspace player currently.
In late March 2008, Archaicus will enter a professional studio for 3 weeks. With the state of the art equipment available there, it will be possible to acheive a production truly massive and glorious to reflect what the project has always deserved.
