White Rhino is (are) a motley assortment of DJs, producers, designers, hot girls and party randoms whose desire for conscientious clubbing led them to stunning conclusion........ 'Lets party AND raise money at the same time! We can have loads of fun, and still do something worthwhile, instead of setting up forgettable direct debits for random charities that really stitch you up at the end of the month when you've only got a tenner left in your bank account!' And so, from these humble beginnings WHITE RHINO was born...
Based in the UK, White Rhino swiftly became Brightons premier charity-based breaks night, raising money for SAVE THE RHINO INTERNATIONAL, and providing the happy clubbers of Brighton with direction for their goodwill, and at the same time filling their heads and ears with some of the dirtiest breakbeat and electro sounds possible! Now well established in the Brighton scene after three years of messiness (and charity) we've raised well over £9000 for the protection of one of the worlds largest and rarest land mammals....Ugly? Certainly. Endangered? Hopefully slightly less so, thanks to our efforts!
We now hold our monthly party in THE VOLKS CLUB, on Brighton seafront, on the first friday of every month, from 11pm until far too late! When not being entertained by the likes of ELITE FORCE WILL WHITE, DRUMATIC TWINS, GROOVEDIGGAZ, SOUL OF MAN, STEELZAWHEELZ, JDS, DIVERTED, KRAYMON, MYAGI/SOLECLAW and PLAZA DA FUNK, our happy punters are always amused by our awesome residents: JAMIE RAINBOW, PAUL MY FINGAH and ADSORB, all men of great quality......and sub-bass. Not only that, our current home has a second room, where the sounds range from hip hop to electro robot rock, providing an interesting counterpart to the main rooms pure unadulterated filth.......Hosting this second, no less important room in the past have been NICK MAXWELL, SKUNKBOY, IYE-95 and B.MORE MC'VOWTY to name but a few.....
