Hello from Spot ! We are punk rock band from Bulgaria. We started back then in 1993 under the name Counterfit, driven by the need of playing fast emotional music, and to make contribution to the Bulgatian punk scene. We went trough few line up changes and after few years or practicing we came out with our first demo (`99) called - " Martial Arts ". Two years later and lots of shows behind our backs we changed the band name to Spot because we have very strong connection with the skateboarding scene. It`s the same scene we`ve been part of since the beginning. Our first album went our 2001 and it`s called - " The Ultimate Guide To Modern Dancing ". We thought by that time it was funny.Between 2001 and 2004 we played almost every town that supported in some way punk rock scene. We also played on festivals such as: FREEMIND, HARD CORE X-MAS. and UNION FEST.The fourth edition of FREEMIND FESTIVAL came up with compilation that we took part in.In 2003 we made four WAYS SPLIT with PLASTIC BO, MANIACAL PICTURES and CROWFISH.In January 2005 we released our second album called - " Waiting For The Inevitable ..... " which had more social and political approach. That is something we feel obliged to do a as part of punk rock movement.Later that year we recorded an EP that includes cover version of songs from one of the greatest punk bands - MISFITS.Although all of our records are DIY stuff we feel that it`s time to expand our horizons,to work with other labels or people,to go to other countries to play shows and inviting foreign bands to play in Bulgaria.Anything that will allow for our scene to grow.Considering what the world is going trough we would rather be active participants in the global changes, than be just distant observers. If your label or band like our music or the message it sends please contact us so we can work together for the benefit of our scene and our planet.
