So, in case you haven't figured it out, I'm not really a band. My art doesn't come through playing the music, but more through sculpting the sound of the music. I'm an independent producer/engineer in the LA/Ventura area.
I started out in junior high playing guitar in a garageband and fooling around with a 4-track. There were so many amazing things that could be done, even with that little 4-track, that I decided I had to be an engineer. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Music Business/Product Development and Engineering, I went on to spend ten years as an engineer in Nashville. I've worked on just about every style of music, and can honestly say I like just about all of it. I've spent countless hours in all manner of studios working with [and learning from] some truly amazing producers, engineers and musicians. See my discography for a complete list, but a sampling of albums I've worked on include artists like Faith Hill , Brooks and Dunn , Jonny Lang , Buddy Guy , Gretchen Wilson , Gary Allan , Natalie Cole , Mike Gordon , Leo Kottke and Leann Rimes to name a few.
After 10 years working in Nashville it was time for a change of pace, so I packed everything up and moved to Southern California. It's definitely been an interesting experience and I can honestly say I've been involved in more bizarre turns of events in the two years I've been in Cali than the entire rest of my life. Some recent artists I've had the pleasure of working with (mostly indies in the San Diego area): Ravi Shankar (yes, the Ravi Shankar whom the Beatles studied with...), Cadence , Anoushka Shankar , JZMN , mrDSP , Jamie Varley , The Fryday Band , Ryan Montana and the Ten O'Clock Scholars , Compass Rose , The Woodrows , Kevin Cooper , and Voce , as well as audio for the Veronica Mars show on CW and some upcoming videogames from Take2Sports.
