About Me

Jameisha Trice was born in Lovejoy, a small town located outside St. Louis, Missouri. It was there that she began singing. Between growing up in the church, and being raised in a household that was heavily saturated with genres of music, such as: Gospel, Rhythm & Blues, and Classical Soul, it was inevitable for Jameisha Trice to be a great singer. Growing up, Jameisha admired and aspired to be like Aretha Franklin, Lauren Hill, Anita Baker, and Whitney Houston. Furthermore, Jameisha was also inspired by her mother, who herself has also been deemed, by many, a well versed singer. She began singing for her church choir at the tender age of six. After years of hard work, devotion, and persistence Jameisha’s church choir provided her with the intense vocal training and experience that was essential for her to launch a successful and promising singing career. Unlike most preteens, Jameisha dedicated the majority of her adolescence to singing and performing at numerous local events throughout the city of St. Louis and surrounding areas.
Jameisha, moved to Chicago when she was barely fifteen. Just nine months after relocating, Ms. Trice began recording professionally; soon after she landed her first record deal with Gamma Records, an independent record label in Chicago. While, this deal was not her big break, it definitely provided her with more experience. It also taught her the politics of the music business. During her relationship with Gamma Records, she began building a well- rounded resume, which included shooting a video for her song entitled “Quit Doggin’ Me Out,” which aired on BET, as well as The Box. In 1997, Jameisha toured with Usher, and Immature. Throughout her hectic and demanding singing schedule, Jameisha was also able to go to school. In fact, Jameisha graduated, with honors from Columbia College with a degree in Music Business and Marketing. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, Jameisha Trice has what it takes to be the next big thing!!! Not only is Ms. Trice an incredible singer, she is a complete talent. Jameisha brilliantly and creatively writes and arranges her own vocals, leaving nothing for her audience’s ears to desire.
Ms. Trice is now writing songs for many other artists. She just landed records on the pop singing group 3LW, and pop singer JoJo’s new albums along with a song she recorded with Fabulous and Alfonzo Hunter called “Don’t stop.” Her writing has also sparked the interest of many others like Kelly Rowland, and Mya to name a few. Her sultry sound is the perfect blend of the passion found in Rhythm and Blues, the artistry of Hip Hop, and spirituality of Gospel music. Ultimately, Jameisha’s delivery is honest, emotional, inspiring, and most importantly, authentic.
