About Me

Named after the street that houses the famous Madhouse Rehearsal rooms, Hampton St is the melting pot between 5 of Birmingham’s best and upcoming musicians.
Forming in 2005, Hampton St have created a thundering sound that mixes elements of classic, progressive and hard rock for a meaty satisfying whole, the band consisting of Steven Whittington on vocals, the exceptional guitar talents of Scott Kirby and Paul Kalra, James Dixon on Bass and James Merrix on drums, have come a long way in a short amount of time.
The band have fused powerful rock vocals, excellent guitar work, groovy bass lines with precise beats to create material that grabs and holds your attention!
After a brief line up change, 2007 saw Hampton St scaling new heights, performing bigger venues like the Birmingham Bar Fly and making the finals with first place in the semi’s of a national unsigned music festival. The band expanded there sound with songs like Angels on Horseback and November Song.
The band have proved great at getting crowds going, performing with an unrivalled level of showmanship and enthusiasm, quickly establish themselves as crowd favorites, and with a strong, truly memorable live set the band have played gigs with great local talent such as Trevor Burton (The Move, Steve Gibbons Band), Blaze Bayley (Formerly of Iron Maiden, Wolfsbane), Lunarmile (Black Sabbath and Judas Priest offspring), I Hate You More, The Satin Dolls, Trial By Fire and many more while establishing themselves as a popular regular at the Sheldon Marquee.
2008 will see Hampton St enter the studio with producer Andy Faulkner (Bolt Thrower) to record there debut album and expand there ever growing reputation and impressive gig listings with many more live performances around the UK!
