I grew up in the bitchy town of Zürich.
My first contact with musical instruments was at the tender age of 10. I learned to play the panpipe, hardly forced by my parents.
As I was sixteen I bought my first electric guitar, a crapy noname product, but it was good for the moment.
Two years later I realised, that the bassguitar is much cooler! My first bass was a cheap BC Rich Warlock, the ultimate Metal bass, I thought. Now I was equiped with all I needed - exept a band!
So I joined a combo called Simplon. We played only coversongs from bands like Van Halen, Dream Theater and others I cannot remember after all these years.
The first gig I've played was in front of 1'700 people. It was a very special experience.
Two years later I met "The Lazy Bones" at one of their gigs in my hometown and they were on stage with no bassplayer. So I had a new job.
In the following years we've played hundreds of gigs - mostly in small clubs in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
But there were also a few very special gigs as supporting act for "Rage against the machine","The Godfathers", "Skew Siskin", "Uriah Heep" and "Running Wild".
Our first studio album "Irony of Ignorance" reached the Swiss top 50.
The euphoria was'nt long lasting and we had a short break of about 10 years. None of us knew the reason why.
In this time I played in a Psychobilly band called "The Buckshots", always in hope of a reunion of "The Lazy Bones". And my prayers were heard.
The best gig we've played was the one with "Skid Row" on November 1, 2007. Probably the most remembering moment for us!
