Juergen Steinmetz

I founded my first real Band "Headstone" in 1987. After changing singers 1000 times and finding a decent second guitar player to replace "Cornel Erhard", we went to "Tony's Beathous Studios" to record our first longplayer "Without The Slightest Qualm" (1996) with the following line-up: Tim Benz/vox, Steffen Hußlik/guit, Martin Grimm/guit, Jürgen Steinmetz/bass, Frank Reinert/drums. After Steffen left the band for personal reasons, we signed our first record deal with "Noise Records". We released two albums with them: "Wings of Eternity"(1998) "Powergames" (1999) After releasing "Wings of Eternity" we had to change name from "Headstone" into "Headstone Epitaph" (another band had the same name). Cause of personal reasons and a lack of activity of the band I decided to join "Silent Force" after they had released their debut album in 2000. The band around guitar player Alexander Beyrodt (ex Sinner, Primal Fear, The Sygnet) and vocalist DC Cooper (ex Royal Hunt), came together to form this German/American Progressive Power Metal band in 1999. The line up of the debut album "The Empire of Future" was: DC Cooper (vocals), Alexander Beyrodt (guitar), Fleisch (bass), Torsten Roehre (keyboards) and Andre Hilgers (drums). In 2001 Silent Force released their second album "Infatuator" under Massacre Records. In 2004, after a 3 year break and a label change to Sanctuary´s Noise Records, the band released thier most succesful album named "Worlds Apart", that made them receive the best reviews of the band´s career. Silent Force has toured all over Europe with bands such as: Stratovarius, Symphony X, Rhapsody, UDO, Angra, Heavenly, played in the United States at the Prog Power Festival and toured Japan with the American band Kamelot. The band´s next album will be released in august 2006 under their new label, AFM Records.
