here I am, ready to give you a look in my world. I was born and raised in the south of Holland. When I was 4 years old, I got my first drumms, it just took me 4 weeks to bash them ready for the trashbin...that is where they ended. I discovered cycling around those days and started a career as a cyclist.My results where ok, but not great allthough I won the first prize in a couple of races. It must have been around the age of 10 that I rediscovered music. I was a hughe elvis fan, I am still but at that time it was an obsession.So I picked up an old guitar and started taking lessons. after 2 years I lost all my interest in the guitar as I was still not capable of making solos and I still didn't have an electric guitar. So I decided to switch again and I picked up my first bass. I started practicing for hours a day and soon I got my first band. It was not really a band, but we practiced together with a drummer and a guitarplayer and together we knew one song. it must have been around 90 or 91, that I joined my first real band. It was called still born and we renamed it after a while in subconsious tree or something wicked like that. We were making death metal or grind as we were calling it back then. we didn't make it long. so I was wandering around to make music again with other people and I had some local bands. then we satrted just for fun a metallica tribute band, did two shows and then the rest of the band continued as the travoltas, who are still playing around these days.I started to work wit different coveracts and ended up in a band that was playing over 100 shows a year. It was busy but I loved doing that. Well then I got a phonecall from this band from the south of Holland if I wanted to join them. It was a band called the september fools. allthough this band had a lot of potential they never made it as they preffered to sit back and watch then to stand up and take the lead. That is where I moved on. I started working as a guitartech for the comeback of vengeance but I felt that something was missing. what? yep a band. It was then that I got this phonecall from an old friend who asked me if I was interested in playing in Mennen. I was so I got to the studio and had a chat with Eric and Joss. well after 2.5 hrs of talking we decided to give it a shot. since I joined Mennen a lot came upon my way. I travelled the world making music. We toured in France, Germany, Portugal and the US. Did hundreds of shows. released 3 albums and the fourth is on its way. I did backing vocals on the unbreakable album of the scorpions. and the list goes on and on. I played with the scorpions, whitesnake, gotthard, molly hatched, grip inc. and also that list goes on and on. Recently I started a band with a member of after forever and I hope you all will be able to see or hear it.for now take care of yourself.....
