About Me
From the first moment playing on a electric guitar, my intention was to become a professionell musician. And all my decisions from this day on, was made with this attitude. It was a long and hard way and it still is. But I don't regret one minute of this way (well, maybe the appartment with the cockroaches). I grew up in a small village, no musicscene at all. From there to the Sunset Boulevard in LA, or the streets of Tokyo, Osaka, Bejing, Jakarta, Manila,Kuala Lumpur it was a long way.I started my own band in the age of 15. With the age of 18 I had my first single out (Wild Axes: Take me/Rainbow Records). I also played my first big open air with 18 (Hockenheimring/Germany) in front of 25.000 people. I played 3 shows a week in US Army clubs all over Germany also in the age of 18/19......and I still went to school after coming home from a gig at 5 o'clock in the morning......It was the hard way and all of my mates from this periode didn't made it. They married, got children, regular jobs and so on. I left Germany with destination LA in the age of 24, where I got ripped of from a manager. Then I joined Sinner 88 and moved to Stuttgart (remember the cockroaches). This was the step into the real professionell buisness. From this day on, my life changed completely. With SINNER, I toured all over the world and supported bands like: SAXON, DEEP PURPLE, WHITESNAKE, DIO, Mr. BIG, URIAH HEEP, U.D.O, SAVATAGE and many many more. I worked with Keith Olsen (WHITESNAKE, KINGDOME COME...) in the famous "Good night LA Studios" and also with Will reid Dick (THIN LIZZY) and Albert Boekhold (DEF LEPPARD). After a few years I took a break of SINNER and started a new thing: SHORTINO, with US Singer Paul Shortino (QUIET RIOT, ROUGH CUTT) again, I went to LA, but somehow I was not happy with the bandsituation. I decide to go back to Germany and restart my carrer with Sinner.....4 weeks later I was on tour all over Europe as support of Mr. BIG. We toured, did our albums, toured again..etc. After 12 years I was tired and so I started my own band: THE SYGNET. We did one record, went on tour with DORO and then me and the singer did'nt came along very well anymore. His musical direction was not what I wanted to do, so we splitt. The good thing was, that I had the balls and the power to start from srcatch with SILENT FORCE. I formed the band, found great friends and musicians. After the release of the debut "Empire of future" we went on tour with STRATROVARIUS all over Europe, played many festivals, like the NTS Festival in Paris (with RHAPSODY, SHAMAN..etc), Wacken, NTS Festival in Straßbourg (with SYMPHONY X), went to the US (Pittsburgh) and after that we did a promo and acoustic tour in Japan. It was a good start. So, we kept working hard and the result, "INFATUATOR" went also very well. The critics where fantastic, I flew to Japan again to do a promo-tour, we went on tour all over Europe again with ANGRA, after that we received an invitation from the U.D.O management to join their Germany tour....and we did it. Next thing was the Prog Power Festival in Atlanta....with BLIND GUARDIAN, GAMMA RAY, EDGUY, ANGRA and many more. Our second US show was a huge sucess and opend doors for us in the USA.
Then we started working in "Worlds Apart", the third Silent Force Album. We also changed labels, from Massacre to Sanctuary, fro JVC to KING in Japan.
It took 3 years to finish the album.
The album got great reviews and we were invited to play a tour in Japan, with Kamelot. Great opportunity and the shows in Japan where amazing.
I love Japan, whenever I'm in Japan I feel home.
Right now I am working on several stuff.....recording the new Silent Force and...I work on my first solo project with Andy Engberg (ex lions Share), Mel Gaynor (Gary Moore, Brian May, Simple Minds) and Richard Andersson (Time Requiem, Space Odyssey).SILENT FORCE -Infatuator-Live in Atlanta-USASILENT FORCE - See Beyond- Promo VideoAlex Beyrodt-Jamming at Musicfair Musik Messe in Frankfurt-Germany
