Movies:
COMING TO AMERICA is my all time favorite, then following is Love Jones, Brown Sugar, A Bronx Tale, Napoleon Dynamite, Any old school Eddie Murphy movies, Crash, Tyler Perry movies, Along Came Polly...Pretty much any movie that makes me laugh. Oh, and I can't leave out the foreign movies with subtitles like "Red Lantern" and "City of the Gods" and also black and white movies featuring Afro-American actors and actresses...for example movies like "To sir, with Love", "A Raisin in the Sun", and "Guess who's coming to dinner."
Television:
Grey's Anatomy, CSI, I Love 80's, Proud Family, Odd Parents, Jimmie Neutron, Kim Possible, That's so Raven (what can I say...I'm a mother to a 4 year old)....That's about it...not much time for TV.
Books:
Bible, The Purpose Driven Life, Coldest Winter Ever, Shifting, The Skin I'm In, God Don't like Ugly, E.Lynn Harris books, etc.
Heroes:
My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His Mercy and Grace, my mom....she taught me how to be the mother I am and I am my own hero for being the girl I was to the woman I am today and not being afraid of living. I can't list all of my heros, but lets just say all of those who sacraficed before us and for those here today who continue in the fight for civil rights and equality for all people.
