Regarding "Define Photography"
Photography is capturing an image created by light. Photography is freezing time and squeezing it into a two dimensional plane so that it is tangible and share-able. When that two dimensional slice of time is edited... things can be remembered differently.
If I, the photographer, take a picture of you screaming in a forest and then delete you, no one will know you were there except for the two of us. If I conveniently forget that you were there... did you just imagine it all? If I took a picture of an army executing a couple of guys who were sentenced to death for crimes against humanity, and I added a hundred more victims kneeling beside the condemned men in the editing process and told a journalist that it was a photo of Taliban men slaughtering hundreds of innocent people, the whole world would believe it to be truth by next morning.
