THE STATE - Scandinavias new rock act powered by the man behind Metallica. It has been some hectic but fantastic years for the 4 members of THE STATE. The band was signed 31/1-04, and just two months later their first single, Superstar hits top 5 on the Danish single chart. The debut album, Rock 'n' Roll Prostitute was released 30/8-04 on the new Sweet Silence imprint created by the Metallica producer Flemming Rasmussen and reached top 20 on several indie charts. Rock 'n' Roll Prostitute is a full range rock album, from the catchy radio ballad Superstar to pure garage rock on tracks like Mad and Rock 'n' Roll prostitute. THE STATE has during the autumn toured heavily in their native Denmark and they are famous for their powerful and dynamic live performance. During the tour, THE STATE has supported million selling acts like 3 Doors Down, Nightwish, Toto and The Datsuns. The debut album is produced by two young upcoming producers: Anders Mortensen and Troels Alsted. Due to the great attention, the band is already heading for the studio in order to record the follow-up album. The new album is being produced by Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica: Ride the Lightning, Master Of Puppets and ...and Justice for all). Now THE STATE started to record the first singles from the forthcomming album. Producer is the legendary Metallica, Sort Sol and Gasolin Producer Flemming Rasmussen.
