I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
I've been BLESSED to have met all of the men of Mint Condition, but would love to meet up with them again; any fellow FOOMs out there, please holla!; Cedric The Entertainer (I'd love to dance with him just ONE time); Martin Lawrence; Dave Chappelle; Lee Iacocca (a former CEO of Chrysler who transformed it from near ruin); Oprah Winfrey; Jimmy Carter (I love his spirit and his heart for people); Prince Rodgers Nelson (his Purple BAAADNESS); Sidney Portier; Pastor Tony Evans and so many more wonderful people! Of course, I'd love to meet Jesus face-to-face, but I ain't tryin' to rush it, though!
Mint Condition, Prince Rodgers Nelson, Earth Wind & Fire, Mother's Finest, Level 42, Paul Young, Thomas Dolby, Chicago, Journey, Mint Condition, Larry Graham, Maceo Parker, Weather Report, Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius, 4th Avenue Jones, Mos Def, Mint Condition, "Godfather of Go-Go" Chuck Brown, ToTo, Boz Scaggs, The Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, Talking Heads, Mint Condition, Rufus, Chaka Khan, Bootsy Collins, James Hall and Worship & Praise, Mint Condition, Parliament/Funkadelic, Cameo, Michael Jackson (yes, I love Mike's music), Richard Smallwood, Tonex, Mint Condition, Mandrill, Tower of Power, Cold Blood, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Mint Condition, Terrence Trent D'Arby, Tears For Fears, Kirk Franklin, U2, Carlos Santana, Mint Condition, The Eagles, Bob Marley, Walter Hawkins, Donald Lawrence, Kim Burrell, Kurt Carr, and let's see ......... Oh, how could I forget? The baaadest band this side of heaven, MINT CONDITION! How in the HECK did I almost forget them? Must be that daggone Alzheimer's tryna creep up again.
"Lilies of the Field" (I love when Sidney Portier's character teaches the German nuns how to sing "Amen"), "Antwone Fisher" (Who will cry for the little boy?), "Friday" (the first one, with Smokey, Debo, Mr. Parker and Felicia - LOL!), "Rush Hour", "Rush Hour 2", "Four Brothers", "Do The Right Thing" (Put some brothas on the wall! Get a LIFE, Mookie! Yeah, Rosie Perez!), "Cooley High" (It's SO hard to say "goodbye", Lawrence Hilton Jacobs!), and if I can include music DVDs, I'd HAVE to say "Out The Box" by Tonex (check out Sheila E!), "Prince Live at the Aladdin Las Vegas", "Prince: Rave Un2 The Year 2000" (you've GOTTA see him, Lenny Kravitz and Larry Graham do "I Want To Get Away" before you leave this earth, man!), and one you need to leave your computer right now and get: "Mint Condition Live at the 9:30 Club". Whatchu waitin' on? Log off right now and go pick it up!!!!!
There's not too much out there that I've seen in new shows, but I love reruns of "Martin", "Dave Chappelle", "ER", "New York Undercover", "Roc", and games shows such as "The Price Is Right", "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy", in addition to religious programming, including "Bobby Jones Gospel".
The greatest book ever written, which is the Bible! Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth! I also enjoyed "The Purpose Driven Life", and "The Prayer of Jabez".
My mother! That woman is totally THE BOMB! A pillar of strength, and always in my corner! I have to say that my children are also my heroes because they have exhibited a strength that I never knew they had! Just like palm trees; they may bend, but they won't BREAK! Truly "chips off the old block", and that block would be ME! LOL!!!
