Our interest is in all of the arts, from fine arts to graphic design and from rocknroll to theatre. We are always seeking individuals to teach as well as participate in workshops or lessons.
People who generate the creative electricity we feel that feeds our artistic souls and fuels the light of our visions......network!
We have an Open Mic every wednesday from 8:00pm until midnight with host Peter Wright. This venue is largely acoustic but varies from rock to poetry. Some of our guests include: Dave Pahanish, Dennis Cline, Ilyaimy, Common Thread, Garret Clark, Roger Sealy, Scott Stewart, Dave Thomas, Joe P, Joe T, Gregg Huston, Rob, Keren Lee, Jill Prescott, Stacy, Amanda, Don Dixon, Dave Olson, Nina Trimbath, Bill Schill and many many more.
Ocassionally we will have a movie marathon or film fest. We have hosted The ABSU Films "Film Fest" which was an excellent collection of "horror" films by amateur film makers. We have hosted the "Three Stooges" film fest and soon will be our first "Monty Python" film fest. Watch for it.
We have thought about broadcasting some shows and maybe a few workshops from the studio.
Besides the wonderful collection of books on stock by 64 Crayons, we carry literature from local authors Fred Lapisardi, Phil Garrow, Scott Stewart, Jim Greenwood, Brandon Lawrence and Carla Anderton.
Dwayne Galenski Duane Galensky has been playing guitar since he was thirteen years old. That was back in 1969. Since then, he's diversified into rock, blues, country, fingerstyle, and bluegrass styles. He's also branched out into playing bluegrass-style mandolin. Now, after a 25 year career as an engineer in New Jersey, Duane is back home and sharing his years of music experience at Jozart Studios. Duane teaches both acoustic and electric guitar as well as mandolin for all ages and levels from beginner to advanced. Instead of a cookie-cutter approach used by some teachers, his method is to tailor lessons to the student. As a result, the distinct intellectual and physical aspects of learning an instrument can proceed at the pace of each individual. And, there's no need to purchase cookie-cutter lesson books. Students can take notes and record the sessions for later reference if they like. Duane is still accepting students, so if you have an interest, you're welcome to set up an evaluation lesson for no charge and with no obligation. To contact Duane, call (724) 632-3218 or send an email to [email protected].
