About Me

People say I'm very creative. I'm always working on different ideas(mostly business plans) I love all things Tim Burton. I enjoy decorating. I have quite a passion for horror movies. In my teens I worked in costume shops and wanted to go further with it. I realized I could not sew in college and got into Makeup and Special Fx. I couldn't go too far with it without moving to LA and that was not a possibility at that time. I used to go to a lot of the horror movie cons. My friend Hugh owns both Draculina and Scream Queens Illustrated. I appeared in an issue of Draculina years back. Eventually I ended up taking Broadcasting and Communications and worked as an intern and then a production assistant for the Jerry Springer show for about a year. It was a blast but didn't pay well. I then started working for dating services like Great Expectations and later It's Just Lunch. I was a Matchmaker for 7 years. When I was with It's Just Lunch I ran their Beverly Hills Ca location, which allowed me to live in West Hollywood for a little over 3 years. That was the best time in my life. I never felt so at home as I did there. I am back in Illinois now and not finding it too satisfying. I live in the suburbs and don't have much in common with the people around me. I have a few close friends but I always am the "odd man out", this isn't a bad thing and I have a lot of fun with it, they always think I'm a little weird. I am often referred to as "Spooky". This makes me laugh. I am looking to open my own business eventually, but for now I work in Sales and am considered a heavy hitter and always a top performer for any of the companies I've worked for. My little brother Chris lives with me, as well as my boyfriend Jay. Don't forget the cats and my awesome dog Daffodil. My brother is a really awesome artist and I will definitely post some of his artwork in the near future.He is in my top friends, click on Chris and you can see one of his pics.

My Interests

I love shopping for cool and unusual stuff. I have a house full of it. I love seeing good movies and love horror movie memorabilia. I like cool furniture, Phillippe Starck, Bobby Trendy, Urbana, Karim Rashid, Galerkin furniture, Skellramics. I really love stuff. I love travel but haven't done enough of it, I've been all over the US but never out of the country. My favorite place is LA but next comes New Orleans and The Westgate Museum I like the curator Leilah Wendell. I've had a lot of fun in San Francisco too. I love Coop and George Higham. I think a favorite for me is to go to these places and find the most unusual and eclectic shops I can. I have three cats, Mr. Spiders, Colonel Mustard, and Clara Clementine aka Go-go the Japanese Assassin. I enjoy having cocktails with friends and good conversation.
