About Me

funny, witty, smart. Long walks on the beach. Sad Movies.....Oh screw that crap. If you like me fine, If not, that's ok too. I'm a voracious reader. I love to write. I write poems, odes, short stories, fiction. I write in my journal everyday and have for the last 27 years. My life, my thoughts and my exploits. Some good. Some bad and some naughty which will just thrill my kids to no end when they finally read my journal. And I love to act. I've done plays and movies. Check out "Pieces Of Eight" in my friends list. It just came out on DVD. I love anything creative. All types of music, art, museums, galleries, architecture. I'm fascinated with history and all the sciences. I love people. I have a very diverse, eclectic band of friends. All creative and interesting in different ways. I have 3 kids, two grandchildren, two ex wives and a daughter-in-law. We all get along great and I love them to death.

My Interests

mostly it's women. No, wait....yep it's women. BUT, also it's news, politics, the internet and giving my time to help those not as lucky as I have been.

I'd like to meet:

Marylyn Monroe, Natalie Wood, Janis Joplin and especially Dorothy Parker...OK. They're dead. But I would have loved to meet them

Music:

Just about anything from classical to metal. Golden oldies, classic rock, Metalica, The Animals, Queen, Nora Jones, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, The Ramones, Patsy Cline, Led Zeppelin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Little Richard, The sound of Phil Spector, Dido, Ozzy, James Brown, Brenda Lee, Leon Redbone, Black Eyed Peas, Roy Orbison, Barry White, Gwen Stefani, Johnny Maestro. Bobby Darin is the best lounge singer ever. Janis joplin with her heart, soul and emotion in her voice. I first heard Elvis when I was 9 and fell in love with rock and roll. I saw Elvis in 1971 and I saw the Beatles in 1964. What more can you ask for in life. Well....I should have gone to Woodstock.

My Cousin Vinny, Annie Hall, Aliens, 12 monkeys (love Madeline Stowe), Rosemary's Baby, Grease, Rocky Horror, Pee Wee movies, Holy Grail, Young Frankenstein, Anythin with Natalie Wood, Brando, Nicholson, Tim Roth, Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton, Peter Sellers. I love a good tear jerker, a good chick flick, horror, teen flicks, musicals, sci fi, foreign, animation. I'm just a movie freak.

Television:

discovery, history, pbs, travel, food and I'm a cspan junkie...ok I'm boring

Books:

"The Jungle" is my favorite. "The Portable Dorothy Parker." "Catch 22." Right now I'm reading "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell. Mostly non-fiction. I'm a history nut and love biographies.

Heroes:

My dear friend Patty. She lost her long fight with cancer April 18th at the age of 57. Through it all, she always made me laugh. Her strength and outlook on life has changed my own perception and I will love her and miss her forever.
