Introducing...
AMIRA JADE WANDEN!
Born Wednesday, March 14th at 5:48am
weighing 8 pounds and 20" in length
after over 50 hours of labor and "presenting posterior"
(facing the front instead of the back just to make it
a little more challenging!)... but she's totally
adorable and completely worth it.
Her daddy and I are definitely in love!

I am a performer and instructor of Middle Eastern Dance.... I am happily married to a rockclimber named Adam and have a cat named Shaerie and now a lovely baby, too!
I direct the Ya Habibi Dance Company and the Raks Amar Dancers, teach at Humboldt State University as a lecturer and hold many dance classes throughout the community for all ages and levels of dance. Also, I won the Bellydancer of the Year title in 2004. Lots of information and photos can be found at www.shoshannaland.com .
My dream is to someday own my own dance studio. I was at one time planning to move away from the coastal Northern California town of Arcata, but I love the many opportunities living in a small town provides for producing my own events and being able to really make things happen in our local dance community.
Recently I began Mosaic Productions, a small non-profit production company bringing Middle Eastern music and dance events to Humboldt County, including the annual REDWOOD COAST BELLYDANCE FESTIVAL. More info at www.redwoodcoastbellydance.com
