…our physician’s offices are swarmed by an army of hot pharmaceutical sales reps.

Wonder what’s going on?

Side Effects offers up a funny dose of reality as to how big pharma pushes its pills. The industry spends billions advertising their latest pills because it works. They’re selling and we’re buying. We are the generation of instant gratification… instant messaging, cell phones, fast food, and fast lives…if something feels broke just give me a pill and make it go away.

Side Effects is a comical and saucy way to get you to think twice before popping that next pill. Audiences will SEE the marketing tactics used that ultimately lead to the scandalous headlines about Vioxx and many other drugs that make popping prescription medications an absolute crapshoot. I know, because I worked directly for the pharmaceutical industry (pitching pills to doctors) for ten years. Audiences will laugh and be shocked.

I also have to say that Katherine Heigl DELIVERS in this film. She is funny, sexy as hell, and we are thrilled to have her in this offbeat, romantic comedy. Our goal to was to make a smart and sexy comedy that would speak to both sexes…Katherine was definitely the woman for the job.
