Interests range from computers to English literature, and religious studies; however, I am most passionate about philosophy (particularly Eastern), Kung Fu ("internal" styles -- e.g. Xing I, Ba Gua), occultism in general, and "Chaos" magick in particular.
I was a Lodge Master within the S.O.T.O. (Suten-Henen Lodge), a member of the I.O.T., and held the degree of "Adept" in the Temple of Set, until I resigned from all "organized" occult groups a few years ago. My involvement in these organizations provided me with the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and I made many life-long friends as a result. While I miss the group interaction, I felt that the above organizations had lost sight of their original goals, and degenerated into mere "social clubs" with little real activity or growth. But, this is old news and nothing more than personal opinion...
Over the years, I have also written for several underground "occult/esoteric" magazines, making regular contributions to such publications as Abrasax, Chaos International, The Scroll of Set, and had my own column within the newsletter for the *original* Rising Force Pylon.
In Truth, I have absolutely *nothing* bad to say with regard to any of the Orders I have been involved in, and I still recommend them to friends searching for a particular Path, and to those seeking out others of a like-mind with which to network. For, while it may be a greatly over-used cliche, the fact remains that There is both a time and place for everything, and "When the Student Is Ready; The Teacher Will Appear."
