The Pillow Factory is a project, that was established in January 2004 by the members
of two bands playing different types of music: Daniele and Matteo from Feedback and
Davide of Mardraum.
The big divide between their diverse backgrounds was not a problem in forming one group; as Davide and Matteo had previous experience playing with Cisco (bass player, now with Vanilla Sky) and because of their different musical skills.
During their first months of intense practise, they started forming their ideas and writing
their first songs that were influenced by such bands as Yellowcard, Jimmy Eat World and Boy Sets Fire.
From the beginning they needed a second guitarist, this materialised when Stefano joined the band
and with him they recorded their first band demo, OurPlan To Mars. This was recorded in May and June 2005 at the EclipseStudios of Gino De Pasquale.
During June 2006, Stefano decided to quit the band to pursue other
personal interests. After a short break, Claudio (aka Oblivion) took up the challenge and joined the band to write new songs, expressing his musical passion and love and also bringing with him his piano skills.
The music always adapts to the band’s spirit, generates a range of songs, from fresh and catchy, to others that are aggressive and louder: lyrics that mold and shape the songs in a distinct and powerful manner.
