"The Ocean Project" is a rock band from Catania, Sicily(Italy) born in the early 2007. The band is formed by the former ''Basic Life Support'' guitarist Alex(vocals),and the two old members of ''That Incredible Thing'' Danilo(guitar) and Salvo(Bass). After some problems with the search of a drummer, Ciccio joined the band. Each member has different music influences:Rock,Metal,Punk Rock,Hardcore,Funky and much more...but the genre they want to propose has almost nothing to do with those. The band's genre is often widely debated, even within their audience claim them to be, amongst others, rock. The band stated, in an interview, that they "don't care about what genre they play as long as they make good music". T.O.P. aquired an own sound,characterized from the hard sound of guitars drawn near to the melodic lines of voice that often become grievous screams. Their lyrics are characterized from the presence of elements of the environmental sphere that find verification, with varied metaphors, in the habitual human situations.
