Profile Tracker ..Ten trival bits about me: 1. One of the first things I ever said was "aaaay Fonzie". 2. I once had a pet joey (baby kangaroo) called Zack. 3. I once worked as a magician's assistant. 4. The worst fight I ever had in school was in Melbourne and the boy I was fighting with cut my face with a very thick lead pencil. My mum had to come and get me because my school nurse thought I might have lead poisoning. I didn't. 5. Until high school, all I wanted to be when I grew up was a vet. 6. We had a few streakers that used to run through our jazz ballet class in Melbourne. All the other girls in our ballet school would scream everytime one came running through the hall. My friend Jade and I would piss ourselves laughing. 7. Many of my high school holidays were spent playing the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz shopping centre pantomime tours. 8. I have a double jointed thumb on my left hand. 9. My eyes change colour with my mood. Green is really happy, blue is content and grey is furious. 10. The first time my heart was broken was when I was 14 at an all-night skate at Skateway. (Go Mt Crack-a-Fat!) I had just come back from Singapore and had bought the object of my affections a fake Pierre Cardin watch. I was so excited about seeing him. I found him at 7:30pm inside a sleeping bag with some other bitch. I belted him across the face with my hire skates. I cried, but he bled.

My Interests

Music - well of course, but not just in the listening sense but I am really excited about the current climate in the music industry and the changes we're currently experiencing. Very exciting times and we're lucky to be a part of this change. The digital world - there is so so so much out there. We are all so lucky to be living during a time where the consumer reigns in this space. Never before have we had so many channels through which to express ourselves and our views, support causes, bring bullshit to the attention of others. I love that we no longer have to rely on a handful of big greedy media companies to feed us the truth. Everything is literally at our fingertips. Second Life by the way is sooo much fun. Fashion - In particular Karen Walker. Gail Sorronda makes any woman look totally sexy and totally classy at the same time. Mogil's bags and shoes are so yummy I can't believe it. But there are many other amazing Australian and New Zealand designers, some of my favourites are Nom*D, Scanlan & Theodore, Lover, Lonely Hearts Club, Zambesi. ..

I'd like to meet:

I'm a social junkie. Always up for meeting anyone who's genuine, doesn't have their head wedged up their own wedgie, likes a good laugh, likes to talk about serious shit, shit dribble or mundane shit that somehow can be made to sound enthralling... The ability to laugh is very important. Thinking and using your brain is very important. Having a good kind soul is mostly important. I loathe arrogance, ignorance, small-mindedness and conceitedness.

Music:

Schizophrenic ipod. From early 70s to now, from glamrock to electro to disco to ballads to house to hip hop to ambient to anthems... On my current running playlist: Silver Convention, The Doors, Madonna, Who Made Who, TurntableRocker, Evil 9, Coolio, JT, Noosha Fox, Britney, Jacques Lu Cont, Living Colour...

Movies:

Shawshank Redemption never fails to make me ball. Shaolin Soccer never fails to make me piss my pants. Requeim For A Dream is like watching a terrible car crash. If I can advise one thing, its to not watch that film at 7am after a bit of a night. When I'm enjoying time on my own I often pull out Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Liz Taylor was so yummy then. Old classics like Gone with the Wind are classics for Clark Gable's one liners. Also the old cliche faves like American Beauty, Candy, Million Dollar Baby... I hate Star Wars but I love Thumb Wars. I also love films that are so bad they're good. Like Blood Surf starring Katie Fischer. Its apalling, hilarious, pathetic, unbelievable and B grade porn rolled into one. The result of such a combo is fantastic.

Television:

Box sets are my go. Arrested Development, (still) Sex in the City, (when I'm hungover) Entourage, (when I have time I'll get to series 2) Law & Order, (coz I love Goren) Love My Way.

Books:

Lee Childs and shitloads of coffee table books about art, fashion, popular culture, travel. I adore reading biographies and the best ones in my collection are The Dirt, (Motley Crue) Scar Tissue, (Anthony Kiedis) and The Life of Antonio Gaudi. Currently reading The Long Tail which is excellent.
