Mike Grefner aka Vs Zero... is one of the most
exciting DJ's you will ever see. Formerly known as Puf The Majik DJ, he is clinically proven to keep the party
people moving with a blend of full flavor phunky electro, house,
indie, breaks and beyond. In just over 2 years he has made quite an
impact on the west coast, finishing 2nd in the voting for "Best
Electronica DJ" at the 2008 Vancouver Nightlife Awards (a field of
DJ's including the likes of Dave Armstrong) despite only playing in
Vancouver 5 times over the past year. He really caught fire in
Vancouver following an after hours tag team set with Dirty South in
2006, and since then he has shared the decks with Pete Tong, Chris
Lake, Tall Paul, and his favorite all time DJ: Klever. He has also
toured western Canada with the likes of Hook n' Sling, and Kid Kenobi
& MC Shureshock. His weekly Epic Wednesdays at Maxx Fish is
attracting big names, it caught the attention of Jelo who is now a
regular guest to Whistler's premiere house and electro night.His ability to blend melodies with harmony, mind blowing mash-ups, and
innovative mix techniques make him a thrill to watch live, and leave
his signature mix cd's as the most listened to mixes on every i-pod
they are on. A former DMC competitor, he also peppers in some cool
scratching from time to time. Chosen to play the Ministry Of Sound Canada 2008 Tour with MC Flipside this September, and that there is more to come.
With nods of respect ranging from club goers, bar owners, promoters,
and even Rock n' Roll Hall Of Fame legend Grandmaster Flash, you can
understand that this DJ is something special - impossible to explain,
but a must to check out.
