Yo yo check out my new www.myspace.com/hugga thugg page if ya keen!!! As a kid, Myles Desenberg, aka Dj Kemuri, often found himself being carted around in the back of his dads van sharing the backseat with a drum kit and the sounds of soul, funk and reggae- cementing his passion for music at a very early age. Into the 90’s and out of New Jack Swings finest, the East Coast flavours of A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and Public Enemy amongst others, began to resonate for this young kid. Picking up a single belt drive turntable and a mixer form the local ‘Cash Converters’ at the age of sixteen, Kemuri continued to journey through a culmination of sounds, genres and sub genres- from acid jazz to rave, trip hop to breaks, drum and bass to techno- all of which still bare its markings on a Kemuri set today. As a part of the Madhatter crew, Kemuri has helped instil a simple policy for there events which easily sums up the direction he takes with his sets- fresh music, party vibe. This has allowed Kemuri and this young production team to build a solid following expecting nothing less than party antics embezzled amongst quality tunes. With his first sets at the infamous Switched On (Globe) at the age of 19, it is still hip hop, breaks and now electro house which is the staple diet in Kemuri’s record box. As he continues to push quality sounds whilst keeping the dance floor rocking, Kemuri has secured residencies and regular spots at some of Sydney’s premier nights including Sublime (Home), Kink (Arthouse), Sounds On Sunday (Greenwood), Ruby Rabbit, Break Inn (Chinese Laundry), and support the likes of Adam Freeland, Tayo, Deekline and Wizard, Ali B, Klaus ‘Heavyweight’ Hill and Kid Kenobi.Download hip hop n tings mix:http://www.zshare.net/audio/253898127537a9/
