SOME THINGS ON MY MIND.....Masterpiece, time in motion paused on a standstill, my life at a speed bump, I tread softly with dreams that are lofty ,need a guru so I’m inspecting decks above the clouds, smash pumpkins as I unravel the truth , in audio booths the sharpest tooth bared, into the darkness horns blared, bringing me back to reality, behind the wheel, seconds away from behind the steel or wood boxes, times not up the clock watches, swerve back to the path, blessings add up I do the math, still I’m stepping with caution, moving like my life is on the line, mom didn’t have that abortion, so I’m coughing out my prayers against a coarse wind, scraping my cheeks bare, inhaling the tainted air, dice rolled they aint playing fair, in the streets that move fast , tortoise sucked in by the hare , puff twice and passed on a double dare, a lot of my friends is gone, hallucinations got my reality running scared, so I been walking through dreams, imagination pushing my fascination, seeing shorties in magazines, ass busting out the seams of the jeans, discretion lost in the haze of her bare midsection, try to focus on her words, or at least her lips and not the sway of her hips, composure found at the tip of a cancer stick, or cigars with the side split, honestly just now I took the last sip, of an emptied memory bottle, now I’m swerving, forgetting my past hand glued to the throttle, heart scared of the brake, live fast die fast , slow down might be all I can take …
