****The Ventura County Derby Darlins were founded in January of 2007. Our home rink is the Freedom Park Roller Hockey Rink located in beautiful Camarillo, CA. In our first year we have achieved many of our goals and are looking forward to being around for many years. Ventura County Derby Darlins are a functioning Non-Profit Organization and have been involved in fundraising for various charities and organizations since our inception.Our mission is to provide a positive outlet for women from all walks of life along with giving back to the communities we live in. If you want to be a part of an amazing sports league then look no further. Derby Darlins enjoy participation in exciting events throughout the season and traveling to cities all over California to compete with other roller derby leagues. Get in shape, get out your aggressions and give something back to our community at the same time!We are no circus style act. Flat track roller derby requires skill, strategy and fearlessness. With trademarks such as fishnets, knee socks and mini skirts we never fail to put on a good show, but demand to be taken seriously as a sport as well. We are recruiting for refs and players! The most successful rollergirls will be the ones that meet the following criteria:
* 21+ *
* Ability to buy own gear & skates *
* Ability to pay membership fee *
* Not afraid to get hurt *
* Able to give and take hits *
* Have primary medical insurance coverage *
* Have basic skating skills - we will train you *

We are looking for girls willing to do what it takes. We are recruiting girls of all sizes and abilities! THIS IS A FULL CONTACT SPORT! YOU MUST BE TOUGH ENOUGH TO HANDLE IT!
