Hmm where do i begin?So during the day im Alec... On weekends you catch me as DJ A.L.C. Im 24 years old, live in North Ryde NSW and i own my own Cafe. Being a cafe owner does take up a lot of my time i still make time for my ultimate passion. MUSICMy Passion for music began at a very young age, with influences from my family being the number one cause. My brother first introduced me to "techno" as it was called 15 years ago. From here my journey began. In the late 90's i loved trance and this carried on for a number of years while my heart will always be for trance in recent times electro has been a new era for me. You can catch me spinning some of the dirtiest and banging electro going round!In 2005 i finally got my act together and bought myself a set of turntables, this was one of the best decisions i have ever made. I had no idea what i was doing with no one teaching me how to mix i used all my past experiences with music and taught myself how to.I still remember my first gig... it was such a great experience and from there on i practiced in my bedroom to become the best i could be. Although my first gig was to about 30 people at the Burdiken Hotel, i was hooked.I have played trance in some of the most well known trance nights such as Sublime, Breed, Daydreams and Progress. I have also played at Transmission, Sydney's BEST over 18's Rave which attracts over 6000 people at every event, supporting Internations such as Yoji Biomehanika, Derb, Sam Punk, kamui, Dark By Design, Steve Hill, just to name a few and local talents such as Nervous, Nik Fish, Amber Savage, Yoshi and Archie. Currently i am part of TEAM TRANSMISSION - ELECTRO with my best mate Adam Phillis.In recent times, i have been playing at the Sydney Auto Salon, Australia's Biggest Pool Party at the aquatic Centre and i have been a regular at Candy's Apartment and i am part of the Filthy Beats crew.In July and August of 2006 i travelled to Europe for a holiday, while i was there i managed to score a few gigs in London but the most exciting gigs i got were in Greece. While travelling in Mykonos i met the owner of Super Paradise Beach Hotel and he decided to let me play. Imagine a party on the beach 1000's of party people jumping up and going crazy to the music you were playing... what an experience.While ive been an aspiring DJ i have also helped the scene come along for Up and Coming DJs. I organised the first ever Transmission DJ Competition which got four of Sydney's best talent up on stage in front of 6000 people. The Competition was held at Home nightclub and had over 70 entrants, not to mention the thousands of people that turned up each week to support their favorite rising DJs. Through this i managed to host The Transmission Radio Show on 88.1 2RDJFM Friday nights from 9pm till 10pm.So where do i see myself in the future? Well Currently Adam Phillis and I have got together and have been banging out some of the dirtiest electro around various nightclubs such as the Civic Hotel & Candy's Apartment but eventually i will be producing some tunes and currently i am saving up to put a mini producing studio at home.I have recently completed a new DEMO CD called "with Every Action There is a REACTION".
