With a grandmother who sung in famous theatres and concerts in Vienna and throughout Europe and a great grandfather who was a violinist and conductor for opera and concerts all around Europe, it’s a given that Adam has music in his genes.
At the tender age of six Adam learnt to play piano and then the trumpet. His passion now directed towards electro house. From the age of ten he listened to electronic music on radio shows, which were hosted by some of today’s leading DJs. In 2005 Adam finally bit the bullet and bought turntables; just two years later he has played at some of the biggest parties in Sydney such as Transmission.
Transmission hosts some of the best parties drawing crowds of over 6,000 people. To his credit, Adam has worked his way through the ranks to play at various clubs such as Havana, Sublime @ Home, The Greenwood, The Cross, World Bar, Burdiken, Candy’s Apartment, Civic Hotel, Vbar and bigger events like the Sydney Auto Salon.
Beginning as a Hard Trance DJ, Adam had the opportunity to support internationals such as Scot Project, Fred Baker, Yoji Biomehanika, Public Domain, Marcel Woods, Dark By Design, Mark Sherry, Kan Cold, Steve Hill, Zany, Donkey Rollers, Brennan Heart, Jowan, Bas & Ram, Sean Tyas, Filo and Perry, ASYS, Proteus, Randy Katana, Kamui, Uberdruck, Vandall and some of Australia’s finest like Nervous, Nik Fish, Amber Savage and Archie.
These days Adam is an electro addict loving those big driving beats. His style is best described as deep and dirty with hard driving funky beats, quirky and screaming melodies with lots of percussion. He also plays progressive/tech electro, house, progressive house, tech house, and breaks. Adam thrives on playing a diverse range of music, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating what will come next. When mixing, Adam loves to drop samples and craftily layer tracks and create crazy loops on CDJs along with effects.
Keen to build a profile as an artist, Adam also spends spare time in the studio; original tracks and some killer bootlegs are on the way.
It is however, behind the decks, that Adam has the most fun DJing with his best mate Alec (DJ A.L.C.). Together they are best known for their fast paced sets at Transmission and their rocking sets throughout the early hours of the morning in clubs at Kings Cross.
Adam also has a Sports Management degree and works for Transmission Promotions running events such as the Next Generation DJ Competition, compiling and releasing Transmission CDs/DVDs, CD tours, DJ bookings, planning/marketing/promoting events such as Magic City, Transmission Birthday’s and special events such as Transmission featuring Paul Van Dyk. Adam also promotes his own nights.
What lies ahead for this youngster… only time will tell.
