Transmission Next Gen DJ Comp

About Me

The Transmission and inthemix.com.au DJ Next Gen DJ Competition is finally over after 4 months. The final was action packed, and the DJs really worked up the crowd to earn their titles.
The winner of the House category was Sean Noreiks. Sean flew all the way down from Queensland for the heat, then the semi, and took out the Final is excellent fashion yesterday. Playing a variety of styles starting off with minimal tech then driving into his unique blend of progressive electro. Very quick and tight as seemless mixing dropping new tracks every couple of minutes.
Well done to the other finalist who only just missed out Nik Mila, Robbie Jackson and Gavin DeMeyer. These guys ripped up the decks on numerous occasions with their awesome tunes, great tricks and skills leaving us itching after all their scratching!
The winner of the Trance category was The Horror. The Horror was a semi finalist last year and this year stood out in every round. Playing pounding harderstyle as hard as it goes pushing the boundaries all the time along with crazy melodies. His mixing has been absolutely perfect which has made him stand out that touch more. In the final his use of effects, loops and sampling got him through as the crowd went nuts to the end of his set ending with 1000 beats per minute!
Well done to our other finalist who only missed out by 1 point in each place. Spinout, Toxic and The Anarchist smashed it up with their cranking tunes (Spinouts self produced tunes), crazy scratching, sampling with tight as ever mixes.
You can catch all the semi finalists, finalist and wild cards at Transmission Magic City 26 May.
