The Violent Souls project was born in 2002 after the split of the previous hard rock band. Fabio Longhi and Oriano Longhi looked for new musicians to change their rock into metal trying to find their new, violent and personal sound. The two founding members met the bassist Fabio Fiozzi, the so called right man in the right place. They brought the songs Yourself, Suddenly, Woman Soul to life while they were looking for another guitarist. After two years of search they met at last Mario Calzolari (ex Storm Seeker). Some of the of the old songs were rearranged for two guitars and new ones were composed by the current line up. At the end of 2005 the band started its live activity. Since their first concerts, the four guys have successfully shown that their songs can be played in live as if they were performed by a more experienced band. During the year 2006 the band played in pubs and open air festival always developping new ideas for the new songs and old ones improvements. Violent Souls performances were positively evaluated by the present people that always asked for a CD to be bought. At the end of 2006 the band admitted that times for a production were mature and it also decided to spread recruiting a keyboards player in order to give the songs a more particular feeling. As Carlo Ferraresi (ex Storm Seeker) at that time had no band, Mario invited him to meet the other members. After a few listenings, Carlo was naturally incorporated to the band. A few problems caused a delay in the start of the recordings that started anyway on February 2007. The Album is going to be entirely self recorded, produced and released the current year. Violent Souls are constantly working to: 1) Extend their net of acquaintances among the people involved in the metal environment. 2) Produce their debut album that is going to be called Shadows of Memory. 3) Find as many live dates as possible. Violent Souls wait for you at their next concerts so don’t let them down!
