TOTAL MUSIC MAGAZINE - 7 Storeys High set their stall with a nicely produced opening at Coldplay meets Zero 7 style lush stoner pop on End of a Day. Once again its not breaking any new ground, nut neither did Oasis and look what happened to them! Track two 'Eyes Shut' is more of the same, if a little more muscular in the riffing dept. (as indeed is MP3 track 'Don't Say Anything' which you can check out on their website), so you certainly know what your getting here, but given the short amount of time they have been together this is pretty impressive stuff, and whilst it's in need of a little more light and shade there's enough little flourishes (feedback, strings etc.) to suggest Seven Storeys High may have a future. Now the only thing left that remains to be seen is can they do it live.

BEDFORD METAL - This recently formed band have a glossy looking 2 track single C.D. that has a blurred psycadelic feel to the cover with a no.7 lift button forming the bands logo - 7 Storeys High. Don't say anything but the track listing, mentions someone who plays on a song that isn't actually on the C.D. A third track can be heard on the website that is as equally good as the ones on this single. Coming in at just under 5 minutes, which I must say quickly went; the opening track End of a Day, has a predominantly acoustic sound, with some brush drumming, creating a soothing, drifting sound that is occasionally hyphenated with little flourishes adding effects to the audio experience. Its like floating through air to a Fleetwood Mac meets Stabbing Westward shared cloud, and just a touch of Radiohead to the vocals. Eyes Shut (Please) continues to create the bands sound and onefor the Indy crowd. It has a rather classy edge crafted with some subtle orchestral backing, with names of tracks like End of a Day and Eyes Shut its certainly music to relax to. With their ambient soothing sounds they are probably more suited to the pub part of Esquires, than the more alternate high-energy bands on level two. They have a professional and original stroke of class about them though and would be enjoyed by people who like acoustic and mild, well sung vocals. O.K. I prefer my music more heavier but its not hard to see that this band have the high degree of potential that would, in the right hands send this band to the next level. (And I don't just mean 8 storeys high!)

ESQUIRES, BEDFORD - 19-11-05 - Flitwick's Seven Storeys High made a welcome return and although they cite Radiohead and Doves as major influences, for me they are virtually a carbon copy of Elbow. Frontman Stuart Cox fills the Guy Garvey role superbly and is well supported by Eddie, Ben, Howie and Luke. Seven Stories High's songs are well crafted and executed superbly in a richly warming set. ESQUIRES, BEDFORD - 04-02-06 - Flitwick's Seven Storeys High played in their own soft melodic style with shimmering guitars very much in an Elbow/Starsailor stylee. This was a set that is not going to send the kids moshing themselves into oblivion but sometimes you cannot beat a good old fashioned set where you can hear the words and everyone plays in tune! The song 'End of the Day'and penultimate track 'The Calling' are the cream of the crop as a warm glow descends over the venue.

LOM COLLECTIVE - 18-09-06 - Introducing recently formed five piece 7 Storeys High . Blending downbeat trippy electro fused rock and haunting vocals, the band have gone in as No1 In this months New Music Radar Chart. Vocally they feel like they could belong in the past Madchester stoner scene, incorporating The Feeling style acoustic elements , the band should soon be flashing brightly on the media radar.
