Von Finesse was a good poet at a young age. Mainly wrote poetry for the ladies back in elementary and middle school. He always had love for music but never pursued making his own. After starting his second year of college two of his best friends influenced him into becoming the
Artist you hear today. Around the end of 2003 he began writing out his thoughts. In 2004 he began fine-tuning his skills and started writing whole verses. Lives by the code (
"I don't Speak About It, if I'm Not All About It"), meaning he does not rap about the average topics like selling drugs and guns because it doesn't apply to his life. After learning that a few of his cousins had a rap group (Nex2Kin) he decided to join the group and transfer his lines from the paper to the tracks. In the last quarter of 2005
Von Finesse and Nex2Kin finished their 1st recording effort (The Nex2Kin Mixtape). After completing this Mixtape his passion grew and he couldn't stay away from music to long. A few months later, he began working on his 1 st solo Mixtape
ON MY WAY Which he finished July "06" and has recently finished recording his 2 nd mixtape
ON MY WAY PT.2 August "07".

THE NAME: "Many people have asked me where did I get my name.
Von is my nickname for those that know me personally.
Finesse means skillful handling of a situation (in my case music) in a subtle (smart, cunning, clever, or crafty) manner. Those are qualities I show in my music and will continue to show in the future."
