About Me

Thanks for helping Muppletone in the Raw Deal Productions/Music Lab Battle of the Bands! We didn't win, but we had fun playing with all the "rock" bands.

Muppletone has the most indescribable music in Austin.

"Good?" Hell yeah!
"Tight?" You betcha.
"Pleasure enhancement for your ear bleeding good time?" Right on!

Muppletone was formed by Aaryn Russell (also of Bee vs. Moth, Adam Sultan, Austin Cobra Players, Limbs Are Absent) and James Shepherd a long time ago in a mythical wasteland named Phoenix. After going through various instrumental combinations and many drummers, and a change in locale to the surreal wonderland of Austin, Muppletone now includes the effects-laden violin of Phil Davidson (Invincible Czars, Barrelhouse Dogs), unique bass of Benny Gonzales (Missing Digits) and often-odd-metered drumming of Jason White (Surfing Standing Still, Yella Belly S.A.B. Suckers, Dollar Gen).
