My Interests

Love my sport - wish I'd been better at playing it. my passions - football, cricket rugby league, snooker and darts (in no particular order) - and support Manchester United, Yorkshire & England, Wigan, Ronnie O' Sullivan and of course Jocky Wilson... Season ticket at Old Trafford, mentions to Robert and Michael who I've been going to the game with since we were at school.Musically, well I started (well) with Slade and Bowie, had an embarrassing prog rock phase until along came punk. Used to go to Erics in Liverpool, so loved the Liverpool and Manchester scenes, and everything grew from there. When it comes to favourite bands, I stopped searching at Dexys, but love so many others.I cook a mean curry... and fail on a regular basis to complete the Guardian crossword. Otherwise annoying the hell out of people at Intense Emotions. Love my liquorice tablets.I'm now proud to be the Moderator of the Dexys (Midnight Runners) group at MySpace.

I'd like to meet:

Well, Gina (penguin murderer) of course... and all the rest of the Delphi team who I've not yet met.

Music:

chronologically: (roughly) Slade, Bowie, Status Quo, The Floyd, Hawkwind, Yes, Tangerine Dream, Focus, King Crimson, Rezillos, Buzzcocks, The Rabid Record lot - (John Cooper Clarke Jilted John Ed Banger et al) Wire, Television, Ramones, Clash, XTC, Fall, Revillos, Skids, The Associates, Red Box, Jesus and Mary Chain, Punishment of Luxury, Specials & Two-Tone, Dexys Midnight Runners, Pele, Proclaimers, Stone Roses, Saw Doctors, Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire and British Sea Power and now Dexys (but not the Midnight Runners). I know there are others... I do have a sad pop fixation (check out the Kim Appleby video...).

Movies:

Dunno, never really been into films... favourite film memory seeing Dr No and Magnificent 7 with my dad on our first proper boys night out (chinese takeaway to follow - no beer for me sadly as I was a tad too young).OK love - It's a Wonderful Life, Casablanca, African Queen, High Noon, Gunfight at the OK Coral, Godfather I & II, Goodfellas, Casino Life of Brian. Last film I saw was Wallace and Gromit (genius), before that Titanic. Hate Woodstock the Movie I tend to go to the pictures about once a decade....

Television:

Again not much. Now Sopranos, and Doctor Who, and as a kid, Batman and Stingray stand out. Channel 442 on Sky is the best channel - lots of old football and cricket. Oh and 'I Didn't Know you Cared'...

Books:

P.G. Wodehouse and Jane Austen. My reading is mainly taken up with 'The Guardian'.... How to save Penguins and hamsters

Heroes:

I'm uncomfortable with the idea of having a hero - suppose GINA used to be until she started on her campaign of penguinocide, Kevin the hamster (RIP), Kevin Rowland, Fay Fife, Martin Buchan, Mark E. Smith, Ed Banger, Eric Cantona, OGS, Sir Paul Scholes, Top Cat, Nancy Banks-Smith, Araucaria, Albrecht Durer, used to be Gina - penguin murderer, all at Delphis Intense Emotions (apart from penguin and hamster murderers), Arthur Albiston, Wile E. Coyote, Daisy at 'tBrugs Beertje... Oh and Tim Webb (the beer witer ), and Tim Webb, singer, dartsman and SR1 (aka Freddie Starr & hamster murderer).
