After a couple of rehearsals, 111 played their 1st originals gig and received a massive response. 3 months after forming, 111 was runner up in the Ipswich battle of the bands, where Bud received best vocalist. 2 months later they took out equal 1st in the Brisbane battle of the bands. All the while, doing regular gigs at the Indie Temple. In dec 05 they were also 1 of ten grandfinalists in the Qld Rock Awards (over 80 bands competed) along with Mochesmo,Attack of the 50 ft woman,In cyde, and Repeat Offender. This event officially launched 111 into the Bris music scene. Since then, they have received radio play on River 94,9 and have had overwhelming support from astrid and doomhippy's Zed Poets Society on 4ZZZ 102.1FM (tuesday mornings 9 till 12) and writeups in local street press. An EP launch date was set for 27.01.06 Kaz's b'day at Her Majestys Basement with the killer line-up of sfm,dejahdandah & mochesmo. It was a F$%King awesome night. This is just the beginning. Our 1st year has been an eventful one, but after the departure of the drummer Russell Burgh, it was time for a new direction. We are now busy rehearsing & getting ready to blast back on to the scene. BIGGER, BADDER & BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE. With plans for a new single launch to accompany our return, the next stage of our journey should be mind blowing. You don't want to miss this.
