I am the leader of the Queensland sector of Shihad's street team - The Had Squad. Basically, that means I do nothing. Whenever there is promotion to be done, I receive the material from the band and pass it out amongst people in the team to distribute across the state. I love music. I can't listen to any music without breaking down into its elements and critiquing every minor detail. Primarily though, I'm a guitarist. I love it. Regardless of what's going on in my life, I can just pick up a guitar and nothing seems to matter anymore. Playing guitar for me is like smoking some major government researched advanced technologically grown hydro, except it takes less time to take effect, i get a greater mellow, it lasts for hours and there's never any come down.
I spend WAY to much money on guitar amps (Retail value of almost $35,000 woth). Most people dream of owning a good quality Tube Amp Half Stack. I own 3. I own the following Mesa/Boogie products: Dual Rectifier - Road King, 1996 Dual Rectifier (2 Channel - Rev. G), Bass 400+, Quad Preamp, Rectifier Standard 4x12 Speaker Cabinet (2 of), and a 1516b Bass cabinet. I also own an Orange AD30H and matching PPC412A cab and an Ampeg 810E cab. I guess I do it because 1. I have a small penis and I am trying to compensate and 2. I get so disheartened when I cannot achieve a particular sound I want so I just spend more money to obtain the perfect sounds for each situation. I REALLY want to buy a Gibson GA-30RVH and matching speaker cabinet. This might take me up to $40k but that will be some time away as they're no longer in production.
I'm also in a regularly unsuccessful band called Areola. We suck. We really do. We can't ever find a drummer to keep up with us because we're all over the place. Plus, its really hard to find a decent drummer who knows more than a standard 4/4 beat.
