But nothing's greater than the rush that comes with your embrace

About Me

I'm not sure how many people read this, BUT here goes nothin':
I have finally made peace with the fact that I talk way too much (now I'm just waiting on everyone else to catch up). I say many goofy things, but am completely serious in saying them. I like to sit up straight, am addicted to Netflix and Tivo, am a sleep-deprived vampire, dig peanut butter candy, know more stupidly random info than anyone else you'll ever meet, love dance music but I don't club, and I smile kind of crooked. I like to ask silly questions of everyone I know, usually having to do with imaginary superpowers, what you'd do in the event of the zombie apocalypse (who's holing up in Costco with me, people), and what you'd do with your lottery winnings (the questions make people think, reveal a bit about their priorities, and are interesting to boot). I'm probably more random than anyone else you'll ever meet, but I seem to have the good luck to have a good-sized crew of similarly random folks. I like making people laugh, and love comedy of every shape, size, and color. I have the largest vocabulary and have always been an English nerd (I read Robert Louis Stevenson by the time I was 6), but I'm lucky enough to have a love who shares this trait ("don't even get me started on 'i before e except after c"). Despite the extensive vocabulary that I posess, I swear much too often. I'm forever inventing new ways to curse without getting in huge amounts of trouble, since I've always worked with the public.
I'm klutzy in the extreme and suck at any sport or physical activity that requires any kind of balance (i.e. skating or boarding). I am neither girly, nor a tomboy. I really am more comfortable...just being comfortable, although I do clean up pretty well. I love Adidas shelltoes and Chuck Taylors, and am still addicted to collecting lip gloss. My favorite color is pink (at the moment), although that's strange if you know me...I'm not a pink kinda chick.
I still don't have a Career, although I work way too hard in the job I do have. I still enjoy way too much caffeine (slice me open and I just may bleed Rock Star) & sugar. I also still don't have a job related in anyway to music, which according to my friends and fam, should be the priority. I long ago decided that I'd like to be buried with a selection of my favorite cds (kind of like the ancient Egyptians); I'm still not sure what'd go with me. In school, I was always the kid that got busted for wearing a Walkman, and I carry still carry my music wherever I go (albeit on an iPod). Music is my first love, although definitely not my only love.
I'd like to learn some foreign languages (German, French, and Japanese), mostly so I can decipher the words to songs that I like without having to use a janky-ass web translator. I can understand Spanish to a degree (the French is coming along, I promise), but you've got to speak just a little slower for me to catch it all. I still haven't gone back to school permanently, mostly because I can't sit still for that long. I would be both extremely sad and amazingly lost without my cell phone (I'm a Text Message Whore, and I've turned my close friends into Whores as well), my credit cards, and my iPod. I hate stupid people (which is unfortunate, considering that my job is mostly customer service, crossed with a bit of summer camp counselor), particularly the kind of people who revel in their complete ignorance. I have green-hazel eyes (just like both of my siblings), which is weird considering that both of my parents have mud-dark eyes. I'm half Native, a mix of Cherokee and Creek...and damn, am I tired of being mistaken for some kind of Latina.

Keri and Nicole

The new Timbaland single is hot to death. Not because the song is super hot (it's okay...not "The Way I Are" or "Give It To Me"), but because it's got Keri Hilson and Nicole Scherzinger trading verses...

some questions and thoughts. random, of course.

1. Doesn't Sum 41's new single sound just like their first hit song? I suppose if breaking new ground doesn't move units, mining the same 'ol vein is better than nothing. 2. Does Timbaland secretly de...

Myla likes to play tag.

This is how it works, someone tags you, and you write a blog including 10 factoids about yourself. Then in turn you tag 10 people and they do the same. 1. I have scoliosis (it runs in my mother's fami...

When I am sad and in pain: I listen to all my old school eurodance music very, very loudly.  Nothing for cramps like some window-rattling Culture Beat.  I almost can't believe that eurodance...
