About Me

I'm pretty eclectic. I'm always up for new things. I'm writing two books right now, among ten billion other things. I watch a whole lot of movies. I taught English in Seoul from Feb. 2004 to Feb. 2007. I was back in Wisconsin for a few months before heading off to Hong Kong to study Cantonese for the summer, and hopefully will stay in HK for quite a while.

My Interests

atheism, Cantonese, cats, Christopher Doyle, DJing, eclecticism, filmmaking, film noir, hip hop, Hong Kong, intelligence, Korea, learning languages [working simultaneously and slowly on Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish], mixtapes [not the emo-style mixtape, but the DJ mixtape], Sam Lee, Haruki Murakami, older drum & bass, public transport, sarcasm, Seoul, Andrei Tarkovsky, thinking, travelling, watching movies, Wong Kar-Wai, writing, Miriam Yeung, Banana Yoshimoto...

I'd like to meet:

Couldn't pick just one type. Could be interesting, intelligent, should have a good sense of humour and the ability to hold a conversation. Oh yeah, and you could also like movies and music and artistic endeavours, a wide variety. That would help. It's okay if you're a bit crazy, too. Preferably not asylum-crazy, although I guess that'd be kind of fun as well.
